Great place with free wi-fi, indoor pool, and 24-hour reception. Staff helped me with bug spray during my first stay. Janice was great too. I'll definitely return for Christmas!

The pool area is clean too. Comfy bed, fairly clean bathroom and so much space and a whirlpool in the room. Nice and ideal location close to everything we wanted to see over the weekend, good for visiting Altoona.

The room was updated, brand-new, it had coffee and well enough space. Bed and pillows were comfy.

It was easy to find. It had plenty of well lit parking. The breakfast room was large.
I had extremely noisy neighbors in the hallway and in their rooms across the hall from me. They were drunk and loud at 1:30 A.M. until 3:30 A.M. No one from the front desk came to attend this issue. I did not call the front desk, assuming that someone from the front desk would have addresssed this issue.

It fit our needs. The kids love the pool.
They had breakfast at the hotel but they did not keep it too stocked. They almost needed another staff to help. It would have been nice to have like bacon or something like that.

Comfortable Stay with Friendly Service
Especially Caitlin and Melodie. Despite the noise from a group of children upstairs, the room met our needs. For a quick meal, consider visiting nearby dining options for a better experience.

It was close enough to everything that I was there for and the price was right. I liked the room that I got , it was clean and comfortable. i will try to get into the Settle Inn again next year or whenever I go back to Des Moines.

The night staff provided excellent assistance and help to us during the stay!
There were not enough electrical outlets in the guest rooms.

The location, that was it.
First when we checked in they had tried to up the rate by 10$. Than when we got to the room it wasnt at all what we booked. No microwave, no frige. Gave kids a bath and after 10 minutes there feet were black, not slightly dirty, black!! There was a cockroach in bathroom. Pool had dirt all over the bottom, decided to not even get in. Had to ask them to restock the empty small breakfast twice, with an hour of breakfast left. Staff didnt at all try to make me happy, just said that 3rd parties lie to get you to book.. At check out was asked how the stay was, told them all this, nothing done but again blamed it on 3rd parties lie...

The inn had a decent pool and nice breakfast bar. It was a very good value for a quick overnight from point A to point B...exercise after a day in the car and good breakfast before heading out for another day on the road.

traveling alone, safety is an issue. I felt comfortable the whole time. And their breakfast room is pretty and clean and had a great selection of food. I would definitley stay again. Right across the street from a Casino. Bonus!

spacious and family-friendly, but needs a little maintenance
The room was impressively spacious, great to spread out comfortably. We appreciated the couch that converted to a fold-out bed, providing privacy for our teen, which enhanced our overall experience.
Some areas of the hotel could benefit from better upkeep.

I would have to say the only thing I liked was the bed.
Staff was rude. Room had outdated tv, stain on comforters, breakfast was a joke. Quality was so poor that the kids would not eat it. There were never any cookies made. There were bugs in the pool area. Blow dryer would not work, kept shutting off.
